Medical Assessment
This is the most important first step, we need to do a physical exam on your pet. The vet will begin an external assessment by looking at your pets eyes, ears, mouth and skin, any information you can provide the vet could be very valuable in the assessment. The vet will than move into checking cardiovascular, neurological, gastrointestinal and skeletal systems to check for any abnormalities.
Depending on the results of the physical exam the vet may recommend blood or urine test which will check your pets kidney's, liver, pancreas and endocrine systems. Based on your pets condition radiographs, ultrasound, or biopsy may be recommend. If you are concerned that something might be wrong with your pet, call us right away to discuss. Depending on the symptoms we will be able to determine whether you need to bring you pet right away. |
