Soft Tissue Surgery
Soft tissue surgery is considered any surgery that is not associate with bone. In Veterinary medicine this can range from anything from lacerations to removal of a lump, depending on the physical exam and what the veterinarian recommends.
Removal of lumps and masses are probably the most common soft tissue surgery due to the concern of being cancerous. Once the lump or mass is removed it will be tested to see if we are dealing with non harmful (benign) or are they more serious like cancer. Early removal and diagnosis of any lump on you pet is the best course of action to improve the outcome especially if we are dealing with cancer.
