Spay (hysterectomy)
Spaying your pet has many benefits not only for your pet but for you as pet owners:
Going into heat which will save you from sleepless nights of crying and pacing; as well as your furniture as many females need to wear diapers in heat as they can have discharge. Spaying will help your pet live a longer, healthier life and it will not change their personality. This will also help with the overpopulation and keep more animals out of shelters. Spaying is actually a Hysterectomy, it involves removing the ovaries and uterus. Your pet must be under a general anesthesia and we follow strict protocols and monitoring your pets vitals to ensure her safety. See more information on General Anesthesia under Anesthesia and Patient Monitoring or take a tour of our Surgical Suite to give you peace of mind your pet is going to be well taken care of by the Westmount Team. |
